Dungeons in Sailor Piece

Dungeons are instanced endgame activities that require a minimum level of 5,000 to access. Unlike the open-world boss system where all players on the server share the same bosses, dungeons are private instances that only you and up to 3 co-op partners can enter. This makes dungeons the best way to farm specific drops without competing against other players. Each dungeon requires a Key to enter — Dungeon Keys drop from the Rune Dungeon itself, and Rush Keys for Boss Rush drop from all enemies in the open world.

There are currently 5 dungeons in Sailor Piece: the Rune Dungeon (15-wave endgame dungeon, level 5,000+), Boss Rush (sequential boss mode, level 1,500+), and Double Dungeon (the hardest dungeon, featuring the Shadow Monarch boss and the best accessory drops). All dungeons support solo play, but co-op with 2–4 players makes harder difficulty modes significantly more viable and improves clear speed for rune and accessory farming.

Dungeon Rewards Summary

Each dungeon has a distinct reward pool. Here is what each one offers:

  • Rune Dungeon

All 9 runes (rare drops), Dungeon Keys (uncommon). The only way to obtain runes. Higher difficulty = higher rune drop rate.

  • Boss Rush

Rush Coins (used in Boss Rush Shop), Sun Armor (250 Rush Coins), XP and Cash scaling with difficulty.

  • Double Dungeon

Monarch Armor (S-tier accessory, 0.75–1.5% drop, 140 pity), Dungeon Keys, high XP. Requires defeating Shadow Monarch boss.

Recommended Builds for Dungeons

Different dungeons favor different build approaches. Here are the recommended setups:

Rune Dungeon

Any high-damage build works. The 15-wave format rewards sustained DPS. Galevorn + Anos melee (Venuzdonoa ignores enemy defense) or SwordBlessed + Gilgamesh are the top choices. Bring a Fortune Rune if farming for a specific rune drop — the +15% Luck stacks with difficulty bonuses.

Boss Rush

Boss Rush is accessible at level 1,500+, so mid-game builds are viable. Quake Fruit + Fishman is a strong early option for its AoE burst. At endgame, any S+ build clears easily. Use the Rush Coins to buy Sun Armor early — it is a significant power spike for the price.

Double Dungeon

The hardest dungeon, requiring endgame builds. Shadow Monarch boss fight needs high burst damage to stagger. SwordBlessed + Gilgamesh with Manipulator Outfit is the current meta pick. Co-op with 2–4 players reduces the difficulty significantly and speeds up Monarch Armor farming.

Rune Level System Explained

Rune Level is a global progression stat shared across all your runes — it does not apply to a single rune in isolation. Your Rune Level increases each time you obtain a new rune drop from the Rune Dungeon, regardless of which rune you receive. The cap is Level 60, reached after approximately 700 total rune drops. Each level adds +1% potency to all rune effects, with the maximum multiplier reaching 1.6× at Level 60. This means running the Rune Dungeon on higher difficulties not only gives better per-run drop odds but also accelerates your Rune Level progression toward the 1.6× cap.

Rune Level Cap

Maximum Rune Level is 60, reached after approximately 700 total rune drops across all dungeon runs. At Level 60, all rune effects are multiplied by 1.6×. Early rune levels (1–20) are the fastest to reach — farm on Hard or Extreme immediately.

Secret Runes

Radiant Rune and Primordial Rune do not drop from the Rune Dungeon — they drop exclusively from the Infinite Tower on Tower Island. Primordial Rune provides +112% DMG at max level and has less than 1% drop chance, requiring Level 8,500+ to reach the relevant Tower floors.

Best Rune for Farming

Fortune Rune (+15% Luck) stacks with difficulty bonuses and is the top pick for pure drop-rate farming. Havoc Rune and Wrath Rune maximize raw damage for faster wave clears. Equip Fortune Rune when targeting a specific rune — the +15% Luck can meaningfully shift drop RNG over long farm sessions.

Dungeon FAQ

Do I need a Dungeon Key every run?

Yes — every Rune Dungeon and Double Dungeon run requires 1 Dungeon Key. Dungeon Keys are uncommon drops from dungeon runs themselves. Your first key comes from completing the Dungeon Master quest chain. Boss Rush uses Rush Keys instead, which drop from all open-world enemies. Rush Keys are generally easier to accumulate than Dungeon Keys, making Boss Rush the more accessible entry point for new endgame players.

Can I die and still complete a dungeon?

Yes. The Rune Dungeon has 15 waves with a 5-minute timer per wave. You can die unlimited times and respawn before the wave timer expires. The run fails only if the wave timer hits zero with enemies still alive. This means you do not need to have enough HP to tank hits — you can play aggressively, die, respawn, and continue attacking within the wave window.

Is co-op required for dungeons?

Dungeons support 1–4 players but solo is viable for the Rune Dungeon and Boss Rush at endgame build strength. The Double Dungeon is significantly harder solo due to the Shadow Monarch boss — co-op with 2–4 players makes the fight much more manageable and speeds up Monarch Armor farming by reducing individual run time. All 4 co-op members get their own drop rolls if each deals 10% or more of enemy HP.

What is the Boss Rush portal location?

The Boss Rush portal is located on Sailor Island. Look for the portal near the main area — you need Rush Keys to enter, which drop from all enemies in the open world. Boss Rush has 15 sequential boss waves with a 300-second (5-minute) total time limit. Rush Coins from wins are spent at the Boss Rush Shop for Sun Armor, which costs 250 Rush Coins and provides +115% Defense, +87% Damage, and +25% Damage Reduction at full upgrade.

What is the Infinite Tower and how does it differ from the Rune Dungeon?

The Infinite Tower is a separate endgame activity on Tower Island that is an endless survival challenge starting from Floor 1. It does not use Dungeon Keys or Rush Keys — access is free. Unlike the Rune Dungeon which drops the standard rune set, the Infinite Tower is the only source for Radiant Rune and Primordial Rune. Primordial Rune (+112% DMG at max) is the highest-tier rune in the game and drops at under 1% from relevant tower floors at Level 8,500+.
