Sword System Basics
Swords scale primarily with the Sword stat, with secondary scaling from Melee stat (15% bonus). Each sword has a base damage value, attack speed, and a mastery cap. Mastery increases via sword usage—every hit with a sword grants 1–3 mastery points. Equipping multiple swords does not split mastery; each sword tracks independently.
Mastery & Special Moves
Special moves unlock at mastery 50, 100, 150, and 200 for most swords. Mastery 200 unlocks the sword's ultimate ability—always worth reaching before discarding. Common mastery 50 move pattern: lunging strike. Mastery 100: projectile attack. Mastery 150: AoE spin. Mastery 200: ultimate with unique animation. Legendary and Mythical swords sometimes have 5 moves unlocking at 250.

S+ Tier: Dual Katana (Mythical)—highest DPS sword in game, dual-wielding animation, all 5 mastery moves are strong. Dark Blade (Mythical)—Logia-piercing passive, devastating mastery 200 ultimate. S Tier: Gravity Blade (Legendary)—crowd control + good damage. Shark Blade (Legendary)—water combat bonus, excellent in ocean zones. A Tier: Trident (Rare), Ice Blade (Rare), Thunder Katana (Rare). Where to Get Each Sword
Iron Mace: Starter Island merchant (500 Beli). Steel Saber: Pirate Village shop (2,000 Beli). Thunder Katana: Colosseum drop (3% from Knight boss). Ice Blade: Frozen Tundra chest (Second Sea). Trident: Underwater Cave boss drop (5%). Shark Blade: Sea King boss drop (8%). Gravity Blade: Ancient Ruins raid reward. Dark Blade: Third Sea hidden quest chain. Dual Katana: Legendary Chest in Dragon Island (0.5% spawn).
Best Sword Combos
For PvP: Dual Katana mastery 200 ultimate → Armament Haki activation → M1 spam → mastery 100 projectile → repeat.
